Abstract

This work aimed to report a clinical case of sepsis caused by Alcaligenes faecalis and Candida albicans. Blood culture testes were positive for the fungus Candida albicans and the bacteria Alcaligenes faecalis. The patient underwent treatment with the antifungal fluconazole and the antibiotic imipenem. Treatment with these antimicrobial drugs was effective in eliminating infectious agents.
